Stanley is a shiny new Grey and Silver engine who is everyone's best friend.

Stanley was a tank engine brought to the Fat Controller's railway to assist with the Sodor Day celebrations. Thomas was afraid that the new engine would steal his friends, and tried to make Stanley look silly by playing a trick on him. The plan backfired, and Thomas ran away out of shame. The Fat Controller launched a search party to find Thomas. It was Stanley who eventually found him, and the two became friends.
