Young Engineer of the Month
If you have read About Us you know that we started Toot Toot Toys following our experiences with our children.
We would like to provide our customers with the opportunity for their young toy train fan to be recognised in our Young Engineer of the Month Gallery.
Send us your favourite story about your young engineer(s) and their love of trains. We will select a winner and in addition to being displayed for the month on Toot Toot Toys we will also offer a special prize. Over the months and years ahead the gallery will provide a fascinating pictorial history of those who have enjoyed the delights on offer from Toot Toot Toys. (And maybe get a listing in Google!)
Unlucky engineers will remain in the draw, so don't despair if you are not picked straight away.
Simply send us a story and a photo of your young engineer(s). (Photo can be in any format eg; jpeg, gif, bitmap)
Entries close on the last day of each month with winners announced in the first week of the next month. |
Young Engineer for August 2008
Daniel Mayo
Daniel is 4 years old and developed a passion for trains at the age of two when he received his first Thomas the Tank engine train. Since then he has enjoyed collecting numerous trains from the Island of Sodor and loves creating new tracks and adventures for his many trains.
When Daniel turned 3 he received his first Geotrax trains and was thrilled to be able to drive his trains by remote control. They have provided many opportunities for creative play as he imagines all sorts of situations for the trains and their drivers.
Daniel loves attending model train exhibitions and seeing the amazing work of older train enthusiasts. For his 4th birthday, he received his first Hornby model train and is looking forward to adding to his collection as he saves his pocket money. He talks about working on his train set as he gets older.
Daniel had his 4th birthday party at The Train Shed at Luddenham, enjoying sharing his passion for trains with his friends as they rode around the track on miniature trains.
A few of Daniel's favourite DVDs which have been watched over and over again are I love toy trains, The polar express and. of course, his Thomas shows.
We are constantly amazed at his love of trains that just does not seem to wane, but does in fact continue to grow. We can't imagine a time when trains are not a part of his life. |
