Lets start off by saying, the anticipation for this set to be released was huge! We simply could not wait to rip open the box and build away! And if we dare say it, there were absolutely no let downs, we had such a great time putting this set together and all expectations were met! Our lucky builder Brenton (aged 4 and a half) did such a fantastic job helping to put this ship together, and deserves a BIG pat on the back for his efforts!
Here at Toot Toot Toys we are all massive followers of the Star Wars trilogy and are super excited for the up-coming movie The Force Awakens! It’s safe to say that the Millennium Falcon is one of the most iconic starships from Star Wars, and it’s exciting to see it’s return in new movie. If you haven’t seen the movies, definitely get a copy, as they are among the most famous movies in history, and the Millennium Falcon is an awesome sight for sure!
There are so many intricate details to this ship, and it’s hard to think how LEGO could possibly catch all these finer details and present them in a model. But they find a way every time! This model is absolutely stunning. Just look at it! It’s so nice to see such beautiful proportion of every detail. The minifigures included in the set are Rey, Finn, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Tasu Leech and a Kanjiklub Gang Member, plus a BB8 Astromech Droi. They are all very realistic! I mean, the Hans Solo minifigure looks crazily like Harrison Ford don’t you think?! The minifigures are such a surreal part to each set. I think all LEGO fans will agree, when we say that you simply just cannot top the feeling of seeing your minifigure in a real life setting of a LEGO model rather than just viewing it on the TV screen. They bring the set to life!
An awesome feature of this set would have to be the streamlined design. This feature really is the first eye catcher. Then you look closer, and wow! You become blown away by the finer details. Its very clear that LEGO has put a fair amount of effort into even the smallest of pieces. These small things make you understand why it took us around 4 hours to build!!!! Thankfully, the instructions are nice and clear, making the building experience a lot more enjoyable. We will admit though, some aspects of the build were very tricky, but thats the beauty of LEGO! It's supposed to challenge you!
Something we absolutely love about this set is its sturdiness. It's not exactly built for rough and tumble play, however you will be impressed by it's feel when you pick it up. At least you can have peace of mind that it won't fall apart like a deck of cards with a small gust of wind!
Finally, we loved how this set brings imagination to life! We could not have hoped for a better building experience, and the joy of looking at the final result brings such a smile to our faces. This set really is AWESOME! We totally and utterly recommend this set as it is such great build! Definitely a 10/10 rating!
