The turbo boost lasts for 5 seconds and as it runs at top speed, the white lights along the sides of the engine change to a cool blue.

All BRIO tracks, engines and accessories are compatible with Hape, Big Jigs, Thomas Wooden Railway (pre late 2017), Thomas Wood range (released late 2017) using Thomas Wood adapters and the new Thomas Wooden Railway range released in 2022.
